About The Wishing Well is a new object with "The Sims 2 Seasons" expansion. It is, however, not available from the object catalog. You have to work for it! You earn the Wishing Well by earning a high score with the Garden Club. Invite a member over and ask for membership. If your garden (landscaping and cleanliness included) does well they will offer you a membership and give the Wishing Well, which is placed randomly on the lot for you.
If your garden is not good enough to earn the Wishing Well, they will may still offer you a membership, but give you suggestions on areas to improve. After a few days and with changes made, you may have the Garden Club come over and inspect again. Just keep repeating the process until the garden passes inspection with flying colors.

When making wishes, it is best to not make more than 1 wish in 24 hour period. Otherwise the more you wish, the higher the chance you won't get a good result.
