Late Night Preview – GamesRadar

Games Radar has published a new preview for The Sims 3 Late Night.

There’s something off about the color of her skin and when we zoom in for a closer look, we can see a hint of fang in her grin just below her smoldering bloodshot eyes. Rodiek draws attention to his Sim’s moodlet. “Basically, when you’re around vampires you don’t know, your Sim gets a moodlet called ‘Hunted.’

New Sims 3 Patch

NEW Patch!! EA have just published a new patch for The Sims 3, although it may not be very big, it is one I quite like – included is the ability to develop a relationship with your car, and the ability obtain the car enthusiast trait. Meaning you don’t need to purchase Fast Lane to obtain these!

The patch will update your game as follows:

>> Base 1.15 | World Adventures 2.10 | High-End Loft 3.6 | Ambitions 4.3 <<

To install this update, please start your game and use the “Updates” tab in your Launcher.

This game update includes:

New Features

  • Sims that drive extensively can now develop a relationship with their vehicles.  Vehicles can be named once a friendship is formed.
  • The Vehicle Enthusiast Trait is now available.  Sims with this trait can name their vehicles immediately and develop relationships with them more quickly.

Base Game Updates

  • Fixed an issue where ghosts could become stuck in vehicles under certain conditions. Ghosts will now properly exit vehicles after arriving at their destination.
  • Nameable items can only be named when they belong to the active household.

World Adventures Updates

  • Career titles for Sims visiting Egypt, France and China will now display in the Relationship Panel tooltips.

The Sims 3 Create a World

  • Create a World users need to install a new version of The Sims 3 Create a World Tool.  Users can find the Create a World page from the “Games” drop down in the site header.

Gamespot Previews Sims 3 Late Night

Gamespot has posted a preview for The Sims 3 Late Night, included are 3 new screenshots – of which one depicts a Sim as a vampire, and a Sim turning into a vampire.

As mentioned, Late Night will also let you play as a vampire, and as Rodiek explains, “they won’t get all sparkly, like in Twilight–they’ll have more of a soft glow.” The producer described vampire sims as being “badass” and “powerful”–primarily because although they can’t survive during the day, they thrive at night with enhanced motives (The Sims’ version of personal needs) that require very little maintenance.
