Summary from Day 1 of The Sims 3 Creators Camp
So far only 2 sites have posted new information, these include TheSidDog and Edenstyle.

TheSidDog.com Facts:

  • You can set lifespans to range from 25–1,000 days.
  • Male Sims can wear makeup.
  • You can customize facial paint. Imagine giving the tiger pattern green strips.
  • Most of the catalog items and clothes were created in-game using the “Create-a-Style” tool.
  • There’s a “Create-a-Twin” tool in CAS that lets you make an identical twin of whatever Sim you apply it to.
  • There’s a roof height slider.
  • There’s a button that paints / carpets the entire room (instead of holding Shift).
  • You can set the stair width.
  • You can set light colors and brightness levels (both indoor and out).
  • You can place objects against diagonal walls.
  • You can rotate floor tiles.

  • Sims don’t need ladders to get in or out of the pool.
  • You can change the floor / walls of a pool
Edenstyle Facts:
  • Some traits give you special abilities. They can be useful to improve skills (Artistic and Athletic traits, for example) which also in turn give your Sims new interactions to use for example a childish Sim can play with toys, while a mooch Sims will ask for more food.
  • Toddlers can now visit the city, but have to be accompanied by an adult, whilst children can roam freely.
  • Work buildings can be re-located if you wish
  • If you wish to, you can disable neighborhood aging and events, so that Sims will not progress and marry/divorce etc without you telling them to do so.
  • Hairstyles can be independently set for each outfit.
  • Accessories (gloves, socks, glasses, bracelets, earrings, shoes ...) can be customized with the tool "Create a Style."
  • The elderly have gray hair by default, but if we can choose a color.
  • The maximum size of the lots is 64x64.
  • With the "Automatic Roof" active, the roofs are generated automatically when we create the walls. We can also choose the height of the roofs.
  • The walls can be dragged and enlarged at will. All that is attached to the wall itself (beds, furniture, wallpaper) will be moved with the wall - perfect for expanding a room when you run out of space!

This is all so great and fun, I think the game will be a blast!

Oh, by the way, read on TSR (The Sims Resource) that the maximum lot size being 64x64 is the same as 5x5. Which I think is good, if the lots were humongous I don't think my piece of machinery here would like to get me playing that game, he he!

Nice job Jinx!

Lots at 64x64 size? Is this equivalent to the 6x5 max The Sims 2 size? I mean, it's 10 times bigger! :O
Does anyone knows if is this?

I think Luhard may have been meaning this?

"The elderly have gray hair by default, but if we can choose a color."

It doesn't make sense as it is like it is asking a question if we were going to be able to choose a colour. But I think common sense can work out what it is meaning.

Wow. They are pretty interesting.

I think the lifespan feature will be quite good. It caters for players who like to play with the Sims for ages, at the same time as those who feel the need to get through a lot of families and generations.

"If you wish to, you can disable neighborhood aging and events, so that Sims will not progress and marry/divorce etc without you telling them to do so."

Now I'm not sure what to think about this. I'm not to keen on the idea of my Sims getting married and divorced without me telling them too. I mean, I want mostly happy couples, with some couples of my choice who I divorce for some drama in my neighbourhood. So I wouldn't want my Sims marrying the wrong people, etc. You know what I mean? But I would never turn this off if it is one feature with the aging off/on. Cause I want all the Sims to age at the same time. :S
